Marco Nel showed that he can bark with the big dogs by coming third in the Mossel Bay Open Championships with rounds of 75 & 74 in very difficult and windy conditions. It was a very strong field with 61 players having a handicap lower than 9. Quite a number of plus and scratch handicap players also played and the overall champion was Ryan Ciapparelli, a +1 handicap player from George. Marco was one of only four players to play less than 150 strokes over the two rounds, he was also the best Mossel Bay Golf Club player and he was the best junior golfer in the competition. Well done Marco! We are all proud of you.
As all the training sessions and fitness programs kick in I am sure that we will see many more such great performances by our Academy Members.
